I've accidentally got smashed a couple of times at home innocently sipping an elaborate stout sourced from Bottle Monkey.  Where does one procure such things nowadays?  Winter is coming, so it's Stout time.

Hops sell beers to take away too.

They have a few imperials in stock at the moment.

Pretty sure they also have an imperial on tap still.

So you're saying he wasn't told about the beer at all? I don't see that happening.

I've seen this happen in the bar. One of the owners doesn't know a great deal about craft beer. The other does more than most and I've seen him called upon.

Thank you for your reply, just to answer your question, not from what he told me.  Maybe it was just one of those moments-a busy bar, etc.

The other thing I'm thinking is was he possibly passing by and asking when they were closed?

Point taken but it would be very unusual, if at all.

This is a mighty fine example if you get the chance

The new Overtone one at 12.5% is a bit special. Aged in Lochlea whisky casks.

There are also some crackers from a brewery called Sinister that are barrel aged in seven different casks.

I like Big Moose but there are better out there.

Sadly, you won't get much change from £10 from them.

@TheTeapot @jackwhite

Cheers for the suggestions chaps.  Will investigate some purchasing tonight and probably pop into Hops at some point.

Yeah as I said within, they are more like wine at that % and effort to brew, so to me they should be priced similarly.  Except I'd probably share a bottle of wine.  I can be selfish with these.
