Tim is back at DOI !!

Desperate beyond belief ………… he resigned as he had serious doubts. CM Cannan in his wisdom must have grovelled, pleaded, begged him to return. Otherwise he would have had to fall back Professor Ashford, and you can imagine the stink that will cause. Still, will Tim be pliable, and do as he is told?

Alf clearly wants a “Yes Man” puppet to carry out his instructions. Sadly, Tim will believe he is there as the best person for the job.

It depends...will he be a "Yes Man" to Alf's bidding (for better or worse) or a "Yes Man" to the departmental CS?

After all, he was "told" that the buses ran on time, during his last, brief tenure.

ETA. there's also this excerpt from the article to consider;

Poor f**ker Tim is no yes man but probably isn’t that fussed to do stuff anyway.

Alf has also probably not worried too much but needed anyone to be in post before Keys term started. Moorhen, glovepuppet and others will be eager to quiz DOI Minister and he knows that he won’t survive that

Maybe Ashie for MUA as tentative step back?

I suspect it will be a bit of both resulting in another resignation or sacking before Christmas.

mental that someone who has resigned from the role less than a year ago has gone back to said previous role .

Would love to know what “ special deals” have gone on behind closed doors.

Knowing Tim, the promise of an even bigger brass name plate on his desk and a free bus pass.
