Ukrainians (in general) are refugees, who have fled their homes because it is unsafe, but their ultimate aim is to go home. Syrians (in general) are asylum seekers, also fleeing, but fleeing a situation they don’t like, rather than the fear of being bombed. They don’t want to go back. They want to stay, get jobs, etc. That takes much more processing.

Nothing to do with skin colour.

Google image search on the word Syria...

Who is this Devon Watson character?

Sounds a right Wally if you ask me.

A woke useless councillor . Much like the rest of them let's be honest . Thinks he's witty on twitter until you give him some back and he blocks you . Ultimately a man who likes free speech if it suits his narrative . Another who stands for the common folk allegedly yet stamps all over them if its for his own gain . Hopefully be a councillor who never gets back in . Like , we'll all of them.

Indeed he did. And in the build up to the show he was constantly in the news about the likely blasphemy etc. yes he was very funny even if toned down which he for sure was . And I’m old so remember lots lol

Connolly didn't blaspheme as such. He wasn't out to do so. His sketch "The Crucifixion" is one of his funniest and it was this that mainly upset the priest guy.

If you have a few minutes (well 15 actually) it's worth a listen. There are some super Glasgwegian observations. Kevin Bridges has unashemedly ripped off a lot of Billy Connelly.

PS When we were in Glasgow earlier in the year, The Saracens Head was permanently closed. McKinnons Bar just down the road under the bridge was open though and as characterful.

The Isle of Man has nothing to do with Britain

According to KH. She’s talking about the importance of cash in this video but manages to slip in this nugget of nonsense.

Well... technically she is right but not exactly.

The Isle of Man does "belong" to Britain in the sense it is a Crown Dependency and the Monarch is Lord of Mann.

It is, however, not part of Britain nor the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

It is part of the British Isles but then so is Eire.

No doubt you are aware of this anyway but just a reminder of the complexity of these Isle's.
