This type of offence is occurring all to often, and sadly, there isn’t a real deterrent or punishment which will send a signal to potential benefit fraudsters. Im sure some posters on here would love an interest free handout, and would find the money handy. Is it completely impossible that it was an oversight? Well the court will have heard the evidence when coming to their conclusion. It’s not being paid back is it? It never will be. So the complete mess up that is the Liverpool landing stage can be used to excuse all sorts of thefts from the Manx taxpayer, you and I. Yes it riles me up.
