I find it hard to distinguish between the confused and sad reaction.

Its very confusing

Despite having a set range of emojis this forum really does seem to have some posters who can’t accept that posters use emojis in the way they they are intended to be used in relation to a post. I don’t see what’s to be angry about with someone using a confused emoji.

Perhaps we need "non moderator but access to all data" John Wright to adjudicate? @offshoremanxman

I’m not aware that time stamping is accessible to moderators, and if it was I’ve better things to do with my life than to ask an admin to download it so I could look through it.

I had to convert his scribbled notes into affidavits when I was an articled clerk.

Recently came across a case where a 'Daughter' was an addendum to a Will? None of the Family had heard of her !!!

Wasn't you was it!!! 😀

The trouble with using the Confused reaction emoji is that in most cases it's confusing.  If a poster is genuinely trying to establish what someone meant it's better to reply "I don't understand what you meant by [particular phrase]" or even "I don't understand any of that, Kopec" rather than put up a reaction that doesn't make clear what's unclear.

Otherwise the emoji just comes across as meaning someone is trying to imply a post is incomprehensible, when in reality they understand it very well.  They just dislike it but can't or won't say why.

It's not quite as bad as the passive-aggressive use of the Haha reaction to try to imply someone's views are laughable.  That usually also means that the poster is unable to respond with any coherent arguments and instead is left with pointing and laughing in a playground sort of way.  But it's similarly unhelpful.
