Roger Mexico
The signs in Shoprite Castletown are saying that after closing on 6 January it will be reopening in February. This would make it the first to be converted, which may be a bit ambitious. Of the smaller ones it's an odd one to start with as there's no local alternative.
TheTeapot
The castletown one closing will be a small nuisance to me. Go in nearly every day. Means I will have to put a little bit of thought into my shopping for a few weeks. I'd be happy to see them replace the cheese fridge though, I don't think that one is the right temperature and hasn't been for more than a year. Sweaty cheese. Amadeus
It’s Soviet Weeks at M&S: come in from the cold and stare at empty shelves.
Frances
The first signs of problems with the old Soviet Union were when you couldn't buy sour cream in GUM in the days leading up to Orthodox Xmas - they did however fill the shelves with powdered milk in large tins. These day you can't even get the "fresh, white + healthy" imported from distant Ramsey

There would have only been one shelf of fruit/veg/cans/meat/bread/loo paper. All the other shelves would have been vodka, and that never ran out. 2

He couldn't afford M n S on a counter staff (retrd) wage 😀 Does make one think, have M n S done better than usual on the lead up top Xmas? Are people more likely to go for a premium brand rather than say, Jacobs cream crackers??? Notice the Woodbourn Deli had some 10 people in the other day! Best day of the year?

Word on the street is M&S 'forgot' to press send on their Christmas ordering and it has little to do with sailings or lack thereof!
