It’s a different jurisdiction.  It’s hardly a surprise there will be a few things overlooked (if this is even true)

But they're such experts in everything (much like yourself).

Why would they be experts in IOM haulage and why would they expect it to be any different to the UK?  It sounds like they worked around it easily enough.

I am not an expert in many things and don’t claim to be.  I do know the IoM civil service was considerably more than 30 people in 1980 though.  That only means being an expert in not being completely idiotic though.

So you think they wouldn't need a haulage license in the UK then?

They're working for a shambolic outfit so sounds about right!

So Tesco’s are shambolic, the local people Tesco has employed are shambolic, the IOM Government are shambolic.

Perhaps be easy for you to let us know who you don’t consider shambolic.

You must be great fun on a night out.

But would they need a licence for hauling their own goods?  If they did, would it be a reasonable expectation that the licence was transferred as part of the transaction?

I don't know the answers, but is this a sign of a shambles, or just another one of the glitches of integrating a business?

Believe me there's a lot more than that by which I base my judgement!

Yes, truly shambolic.  Lord knows how they have continued to secure their place as the leading supermarket in the UK for so long.

Simple - they screw their suppliers down on price so that most of them barely break even

I remember the photo finlo referred to, i think it was a little earlier than the 80s though, but it exists.

Thanks

Does or show an entire civil service consisting of 29 people? If so it must be a very long time before the 80s?

I am happy to be proved wrong if the civil service really was 29 people in my lifetime, but I am a long way from being convinced without some evidence.
