like everything else government run overstaffed with management ,and the attitude that the customer owes them a living , its dreadful to see  how this organisation  that was once a flagship operation in our community  has been allowed to  become so poor in its performance ,

So what we are saying is the IOM post didn’t increase costs to customers in line with the increasing costs they have incurred with rising wages, rising utilities etc etc

the same people complaining they only made half a million would be the same people complaining if made £2 million if they had increase cost postage even further to the public

or alternative headline

iom Post save public and local business over £1,000,000 by not passing on increases costs

lose lose situation

Full time delivery and sorting posts have been cut, being replaced with part timers and ZHC with no entitlement other than the hours they are asked to work. The problem causing the losses clearly cannot lie here then.

The problem lies in Executive (3 on £125k+ each pa) and management and administration numbers and remuneration. Increasing numbers of "project managers" whose only projects appear to be overseeing the PO losing business to competitors, such as the recent Parcelforce loss and the earlier Yodel loss which was then farmed back to the PO by MIC at much less than had been previously paid.

Heads need to be rolling within the management structure but as with any other Govt operation it won't happen, blame and cuts will be directed towards the grass roots.

Who is delivering parcel force now?

I’m sure before long you will have IOMG cheerleaders on telling, you as wrong, and how it’s an illusion and the PO has made mega money profits.

Surely their volumes are through the floor, yet when they try and cut services or increase charges people moan.

What do people expect?

why not just do deliveries a couple a times a week and reduce the overheads?

What services? Deliveries are sparce, and during TT or MGP it’s when available or when they can. I’m not expecting miracles. As for reducing overheads hahahahaha that they won’t do.

How about reducing the management and selling off assets?

@HiVibes

Your hatred of Mr Peters is blinding you to a very important point about organisations like the PO and their profitability.

Put simply the more profit the PO makes the more we are all being taxed twice.

What happens to the IOMSPCo profits, if any, should be interesting....

Hopefully the new sorting machine will reduce the need for ‘regional’ sorting offices lol

never understood why needed as many for small island

Because it is more efficient to send one truck to Ramsey and split it there than 20 (?) smaller vans?
