Gladys
1st class in the UK is £1.25 and there are complaints about the level of service.
asitis
Perhaps a mirror of the situation here in a lot of areas, too many competitors for too few customers !
WTF
there are no next day services , 24hr has gone, they only do 48hr but at 24 hour pricing, this is the manx business model in full swing, less customers, charge more, even less customers, charge even more, rinse and repeat until bankruptcy.

Non-Believer
I must be psychic....not. Maybe Stu P. can advise exactly what actions are being taken to address the problematic "fixed costs" other than the endless hikes in postage rates? woolley
Christmas cards seem to be coming through the door with no stamp on at all, except the "to pay" rubber stamp. Looks like some folks have found a cheaper option.
Laxey
There is no need to pay the exorbitant prices now being charged……simply go to eBay and buy unwanted stamp collections (Mint Not Hinged stamps) which are still valid for postage indefinitely. the stamps I am currently using cost me £30 for £147 face value…..Bargain price for Christmas presents being posted! Laxey
Things may be about to get a whole lot worse for IOM Post though… ….according to our postie, IOM Post Office may lose the contract for parcels from Royal Mail to Manx Independent Carriers…..and whilst MIC may not have enough infrastructure to cope with the volume of parcels, IOM Post Office may end up delivering them on behalf of MIC…..but at a lower per parcel price, therefore reducing their income further.
