I’ll make a coffee and wait for the grown-ups to post.

You stupid Eejit, your response shows that you obviously haven't any idea of what has happened in Manx politics in the last 20-30 years with regard to reform of Tynwald, the continued opposition to reform for fear of MHKs being usurped of their or more pertinently, Comins power being watered down without the 'appointed' Legco.

To reform Tynwald or Legco there has to be a long debate and convincing of the public as to the means off bringing the reforms into place.

If you cannot realise that, then your vote on the Bishop is just window dressing while not addressing the wider reforms that are required, reforms that you as an MHK should be aware of whether you agree with them or not!!!

I hope that you are a good constituency MHK because you do not seem to understand politics in general!

Still waiting. Maybe the grown-ups have better things to do tonight?

You don’t need to be a constitutional academic to realise that it’s easier to criticise others (politicians, cops, courts, civil servants) as a default position rather than to make any valid alternative suggestions.

This from the grown up who looks like he has criticized a lot of politicians on this forum over the years but now is losing it with the very same expressions of criticism. To be honest you’re starting to reinforce that this is the worst incarnation of Tynwald ever. Full of fatuous arseholes who have achieved nothing now concerned that they’re three years in and will now have to work on their re-election pitches having achieved fuck all.

No ideas then boys? Just the usual insults?

They aren’t insults Stu. What have you achieved? Basically the square root of fuck all in three years. How has the IOM moved on in anyway under your mandated stewardship? You aren’t a Minister, you’re sitting over a post office that’s laying 20 workers off as the non workers can’t find easy cost savings. You’re sticking up for civil servants that are failing this place grossly. And there will be no money left soon. So what expressly have you done about any of it?

To be honest I think the island has been allowed to become so "broken" that no matter who stands it has become beyond redemption.

You’re right. But that doesn’t mean that we couldn’t elect a few people who could at least try. I’m still waiting for Stu to reel off what he has tangibly achieved in the last three years.

Any thoughts on last week's Examiner claims that Govt numbers increased by over 100 in the last 6 months alone, Stu? Can you advise exactly what benefits this is bringing to the taxpayers of the Island and how it fits in with your manifesto pledges in respect of getting on top of Govt expansion? Have you set in place any opposition to such expansion?

Genuine questions.

I wasn't aware that it was the electorate's job to come up with the ideas; although that would be considerably cheaper than a representative democracy.

It isn’t. Stu is on £70,000 a year plus pension plus expenses to represent the people of Middle. And he seems to have completely run out of ideas already other than to do a bit of victim claiming on an anonymous forum. Maybe he’d like to lay out clearly what he thinks he has achieved so far?
