If government were capable of running businesses with out pissing money down the drain, then more people should be shouting for them to pull the plug on gas supply and supply it themselves

unfortunately would be out of the frying pan and into the fire,

Jo Cox should have been let go months ago as its disaster after disaster with them

It wasn’t her it was a man that is doing the PR on now she hasn’t been around for a while now.   His photo was on IOMToday making the announcement, with a straight face, saying it is because customers prefer it 😂  ( that is contact by email ).   I know I am old but some of my friends are not computer literate, shame if they are on gas 🥲.

I have sent them 4 emails asking for money from my account all have gone unanswered. Tried calling numerous times no answer

There was a soundbite from Jo Cox on MR News on Friday, giving assurances that the company was on a sound financial footing and that all its obligations to its suppliers were now being met in a timely fashion.

And that everybody could manage their IEG business online.

I really think no one believes a word Jo Cox says and have  zero respect or time for Manx Gas/ Island Energy. Disgrace of a company and seemingly our powers that be are doing nothing about it. A token effort by OFT who seemingly have no legislation or power to make a difference. They’re going bust and will be amazed if they don’t.

I'm really concerned about a friend of mine.  She got a bill of £1,500 a short while ago,; it seemed excessive, approaching 3 times what it was previously.  I tried to persuade her to challenge it, but she was so worried about it she went and paid it.

She shouldn’t have paid it. Make a token payment , say £200 and ask for justification and proof of legitimacy of the bill and amount asked for. Throw it back at them and say no more is getting paid till they do what’s asked. Was the bill an estimate or based on readings? My guess is it was estimated as meter readers seemingly are a thing of the past.

It should always result in credit to her account and even out in the long run. Worrying in the meantime even if you understand the monthly  DD resulting in over payments?

Yes in a normal world with credible company but Manx gas are far from that. And if they go to the wall in the meantime  what then ?

Why is there not a group effort of all those affected of taking IOM Energy to court? Companies have been taken to court for far less. There must be a lot of people out there who could sign their name to a lawsuit for monies owed and overpaid, unnecessary stress caused by extortionate bills etc etc
