Revolut now have a young guy representing them on the Isle of Man, so definitely pro-active.

Still slight concerns with their overall security but seems ok, in the main.

Are they allowed to do business on the Isle of Man - they do not appear to be on the FSA list of authorised businesses?

Revolut is certainly making banks look like Dickensian monoliths..great service and also (I’d imagine) a perfect conduit for organised crime and money laundering..

So, Chamber of Commerce pissed off out of the Eagle Labs and it shut after they had over £300k out of the starship enterprise to run the place for the past however many years.

The well went dry, they pulled out and are now setting up a new coworking and collaboration space - in partnership with the starship enterprise - https://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-business/chamber-of-commerce-moves-to-new-hq/

Are they really going to go and fit out a new space in a new building when THEIR old Eagle Labs is literally sat there ready to go? Oh wait, DFE cant give them more money in he same building.

Is the IOM Chamber of Commerce officially off its rocker? I'd love to know if anyone has actually had any benefit of the Chamber other than attending some gladrag wine and pizza evenings?

Any idea how much the new one is costing us?

trouble is C of C are so impregnated into government  circles   and advisory committees   that  they have started running the show , to the detriment of those who are not members , you only have to look at the influence they have in the department of Enterprise  , probably would not have been so bad if we had politicians with some balls to stand up to the chamber  and some of the civil servants who seem to just want an easy life

So has Construct Isle of Man moved as well, if it has shut, haven't heard anything. But never do until they want money for renewal.
