Ringwraith Posted September 6, 2005 Share Posted September 6, 2005 Iran has offered the US 20 million barrels of crude oil (up to 5 shiploads), even at 65 dollars a barrel that is 1.3 billion dollars! Rice has said that no offer of aid will be rejected. Let's see what GWB has to say about this! One small catch, the US has to lift the trade embargo in order for Iran to be able to send the oil. That should - 1) Raise billions of dollars 2) Help reduce the crazy situation where 5% of the world's polulation consumes 25% of the world's oil resources 3) It just might help reduce global warming Of course, it wouldn't be popular but the oil's goin to run out one day and then what?
