genericUserName
Does anyone have an update re a 5G rollout? What is the delay? For huge numbers of people across the UK and mainland Europe 5G now provides a perfectly acceptable alternative to the need for a fibre connection. CrazyDave
NIMBY objectors. Its pointless them even trying because the same loons who object to windfarms and everything else will object without realising its all over the rest of the world already. These are the people who hold the island back. 1

finlo
Because it would make the current fibre rollout obsolete?
swoopy2110
I asked MT this question in 2020. The response was that they have no plans to move forward with 5G until the rollout of fibre was completed. By which time the rest of the world will probably be on to 6G!

Like the fibre, they're probably waiting for the government to pay for it.
