HeliX
I never used to be an MD fan really, but that is absolutely gutting stuff. Hope he gets his 27th this week.

Anti TT brigade like Helmet , Gizo etc must be well pissed off😂 Why’s that then?

If I were him I'd get the record and then jack it in, but I'm not him.

Roger Mexico
3 hours ago, TheTeapot said: Well that was my point really. The bikes are caked in them this year, and while I don't pay that much attention the bikes the last few years haven't normally looked that bad. I can remember it from when I was a kid and the bikes were covered. Lots of insects is undoubtably good. Oh I got the point you were making, but I didn't know that everyone else would know about the Windscreen Phenomenon. Reading that it's alarming just how much the numbers have fallen in just a couple of decades. It's also interesting that better aerodynamics lead to more insect deaths, presumably because there's less of an air cushion building up in from of the vehicle to deflect the insects. It also explains why bikes, more streamlined than any car, get so plastered with invertebrates.

The world needs pioneers and risk takers, not people who sit on their hands because someone beat them to it. Well there's risk taking and risk taking, isn't there? I've taken a few but not of this kind. I said I would take the record and then jack it in, so I don't see how that would be sitting on my hands because someone beat me to it. I'd have the record and I'd live to tell the tale. Your post makes no sense. I do appreciate that it isn't in the Dunlop genes to declare when you're winning, and respect for that.

CallMeCurious
I noted the printed road closures notice had nothing on it about concurrent events like Ramsey Sprint this year. Beach racing in Douglas got a mention https://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/beachcross-gets-underway-in-douglas-today/ and Peel get a mention today https://www.three.fm/news/isle-of-man-news/tt-festivities-move-to-peel/ online. Sprintfest certainly had more posters in town than the Sprint event itself, unless you count the road closed signs around the Mooragh prom. Shake me up Judy
Superb coverage of the sidecars on ITV4 last night. Tonight's programme on the Superbikes should be lively.

Wonder if there is an equivalent EV phenomona where birds and small mammals don't hear them coming? 🤔

Port Erin day as well today which wasn’t aware of but it’s packed down here as well, seems mostly activities for kids with bands on tonight outside the Bay
