I thought the TT was about motorcycles not cars?

The TT was originally a car event.  It is now an event that just makes people the world over want to drive our roads.

As an island, we should really encourage people on bikes and on cars to come here and enjoy our unrestricted roads as much as they want and spend money here.

It seems pretty much everything but the mountain section is restricted to a 50 mph nowadays. At least for the duration of the event.

I see the old M&Co store is absolutely rammed with loads of biking gear for the next fortnight, despite all the “experts” here and on Facebook moaning that they would never find a tenant.

2 weeks out if 52? That's not gonna help much.

Can anyone explain why there are banners up by the Grandstand that have been printed with just the words Tourist Trophy on? Seems a totally pointless exercise when that banner space could have been sold, and if not sold why is it not used for advertising MNH / VisitIsleofman / locate etc?

They appear to have 'fixed' that by laying loose roofing felt over part of the flat roof and weighting it down with sandbags.

Aye, that'll do it.
