Roger Ram
It is becoming more apparent now that everyone has a video camera in their hand how risky it is to sit anywhere on the circuit. A bike lost its chain on Cronk-Y-Voddy straight and the video shows how lucky it was that some spectators weren’t taken out by the chain which took a chuck out of the bank they were sitting on. There are lots more, including this competitor nearly putting his bike into the field on the straight after the Bungalow, which would be classed as a low risk place to be watching. Wishing everyone a safe completion to the racing, which looks like it will be tomorrow with no action likely today but you do wonder if it’s just a matter of time until the unfortunate incident that ends the event. https://www.facebook.com/groups/TourisTTrophy/permalink/7817452208334743/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v Edited June 7 by Roger Ram

It is an exit from a bend. The bikes you see in that clip are both still leant over as they exit the corner. The outside of a corner is never a "low risk" place to stand.

That's always been fucking obvious to me, never mind apparent. That's why I don't watch it. From anywhere. 16 minutes ago, Roger Ram said: you do wonder if it’s just a matter of time until the unfortunate incident that ends the event. How unfortunate would it have to be? There have already been unfortunate incidents. The organisers just crack on regardless.
Roger Ram
Link below to the chain coming off for anyone interested who hasn’t seen it. There are some very lucky people there. https://www.facebook.com/ttracefans/videos/1686847442059170/?mibextid=rS40aB7S9Ucbxw6v

Seeing peoples' heads and various other body parts getting spread all over the place doesn't strike me as much fun. Especially if they are mine.
A fool and his money.....
22 hours ago, english zloty said: according to members of the orange army who aren't allowed to report such things, the helicopter got its rotors stuck in fencing / hedging just up the road from the bungalow and bits of rotor went flying some distance. a low loader had to tow it away. and the race track had to be cleared of the debris. both from the original crash and the bits of rotor blade. the official line being 'we listened to the riders' I'm sure a statement will follow in due course 🤣 Still no news on this. Nor any pictures from the considerable amount of people up there, nor of the helicopter on the low loader or the crane that would have to have lifted it on. Is it just another TT conspiracy theory do you think?
