Lonan3
There is a very strong rumour (from a normally reliable source) that Paramount is also to close - for redevelopment - within the next couple of months.
Dontlookbehindyou
Paranoid city whoo that will be a big loss. I use to like watching bands at Bushys it was far better than the Venue.

Dontlookbehindyou
They should never off allowed Bushys to close, it has great character, great food ( if you like dirty burgars lol) great for live bands.
TheScope
Yeah I know what you mean. A night out has never been the same since Bushys went, plus it was the last really good venue for bands in Douglas. Nowhere else even comes close for atmosphere. Its a shame for all the young bands coming along now that never got to experience it.

Alex
Always got the impression Parasite was just a rich kid's plaything - they only open one day a week ffs. So it's hardly a huge loss, but another loss all the same.

Furry Mongoose
Have to admit - never bothered with any of their dance nights or whatever but did like the one gig I went to in there - Space The sickening thing is the prices these posh apartments are gonna be and the fact they'll have fallen down in 15 years. When are they gonna start building affordable property that won't be ruined because of cheap and shoddy building in a few years time?
godfatherofManxKippers
I think Vibe could have been a good venue, over 21's? no chavs? could even be a good pre-bar for people going to Breeze?
the_kitty
Vibe is closed now, it wasnt exactly good anyway. The only decent night i had in there was when Lisa Lashes was playing. It was better as Jeffersons
godfatherofManxKippers
Vibe would have been good if people had of supported it (just like The Venue!) Richard from Vibe has gone bankcrupt now. I think Vibe looks good inside, its a pity it was always dead. Jeffresons wasnt one of my favourite places but it seemed to lose its following once it got done up, and any dance night which was held there wasnt really supported which is a shame. The Godfather of Manx House
...I'm sure Richard will enjoy seeing his financial situation discussed on here *sighs*. Good luck to the lad. I'm sure he'll bounce back a better, stronger person in no time at all... ...GOMH*...
