Onchan has it's issues, but I don't think you can pin this one to it. The story is about Shoprite/Tesco Victoria Road, Douglas. https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/fencing-to-be-erected-to-stop-supermarket-site-being-used-as-racetrack/
Kopek
'' Little Switzerland residents whining about boy racers ''. I heard it was those working class people in Lindon Grove complaining? ...and those youths who sit on the wall by the trolley park???😀 ... and the Sally Jacks out the back who couldn't hear their selves evangelising! ...and the \police who thought, ''oh no, do I really have to walk down there again'? ''Can I take the car Sarge''? Those Kids on the breakwater have to go somewhere!!! Live and Let Live? It won't be for long? Bombay Bad Boy
Snuff the wind - fenced off. Cornelly Mines - fenced off. The Deads - some bloke built a house on it. All these used to be places where you could just turn up and have a bit of fun, without having to join a club or anything.

We wonder why kids today are so plugged into the digital world. Escapism? Or they're not allowed to do anything in the real world anymore. Although admittedly I have nearly killed myself at most of the aforementioned locations at some point in my youth.
