Ridiculous house prices, abhorrent rents, spiralling rates & utility pricing. @IOMGovernment Start taxing multiple home ownership where it becomes unviable to hold hordes of real estate. We cannot grow a population & retain our talent until this elephant in the room is addressed. Couple this policy with assisting returning students with debt subject to a nominal period working on the Islahd following their graduation, eg 5 years earning. We are in a death spiral. Nobody seems to want to recognise it or do anything about it. We also need to stop financing degrees in non subjects and direct our resources towards degrees like medicine, vets, sciences etc and particularly degrees like medicine, dentists, vets there should be a minimum retirement to work on Island for 3/5 years as the costs of these courses are very high

Word on the grapevine locally is that the Super Beach Cleaner is now parked up and rusting with the tractor by the old depot, as it (Or the bin wagons) wont fit in the new Depot up at Breagle and DEFA have pulled PEC up for disposing of the waste off the beach illegally. Excellent value for money. The works foreman wont communicate with the Clerk in person but the Chairman (from Foxdale) has just been on Manx Radio headline telling everyone what a wonderful job they are doing !

Braddan Commissioners had a meeting on 25 January so they certainly had the opportunity. But if there are still unresolved matters with IOMG funding, then deferring would be a possibility. Fred the shred
I thought they were looking to borrow five million to make up the shortfall perhaps there have been complications with the borrowing.

Port Erin rival PSM for incompetence, PSM pavilion still empty after one year yet they won’t let golf club have the lease and no one else wants it!,
