StCatherine
Have Garff formally announced. They were warning of 15% but never saw anything official.
ian rush
The smaller parishes keep rates low by not doing stuff and leaving central government to pick up the tab - e.g. responsibilities under public health act and building control act.

Thanks for responding - but I feel that’s a bit disingenuous. I’m sure you don’t need me to tell you that a relatively high percentage increase on a high original rate will be more than a lower percentage increase on a lower original rate.

They had to create a new line in their annual accounts for him this year. Indeed: Presumably these 'key management personnel' are: as the other two must be on under £50K (though maybe not by much) either the pension contributions are very generous or he must be nudging the £100K.

GreyWolf
Robbo the super clerk at Port Erin is massively overpaid, also one clerk should be enough to serve P.E PSM, and Rushen with one deputy in this day and age.
Nom de plume
Just another nail in the housing crisis coffin. Ridiculous house prices, abhorrent rents, spiralling rates & utility pricing. @IOMGovernment Start taxing multiple home ownership where it becomes unviable to hold hordes of real estate. We cannot grow a population & retain our talent until this elephant in the room is addressed. Couple this policy with assisting returning students with debt subject to a nominal period working on the Islahd following their graduation, eg 5 years earning. We are in a death spiral. Nobody seems to want to recognise it or do anything about it.

You've gotta get the priorities right... 2

Dirty Buggane
And the tax income they derive from them is in the minus bracket as they take on low pay jobs and therefore do not reach tax threshold. In fact they are entitle to state payments to uplift their income, so increasing the islands population only works for Alfies master plan if there is jobs at the £50,000 level for the 8000 new wage earners he is looking to import. Good luck.

Perhaps on Douglas golf course, we could have corrugated townships and the Douglas head favelas. There has to be a tourism opportunity from that too.
