They continue to raid reserves due to monumental fuck up after monumental fuck up, when there should be provision for a rainy day. That rainy day is now here.

You would have to think that net immigration is now a nailed on impossibility. I really wouldnt be surprised to see a lot of people now seriously considering leaving.

But there's nothing in the budget to spook HNWIs who don't receive most of their cash from income anyway, so that's all good. Thank goodness for that.

I'm sure nothing bad will happen if the actual earners leave.

Aye.... the elephant is still in the room. They're shameless.

And not just lack of effort in making savings - the costs are increasing with the headcount/recruitment rising

I don't know where all these so called 'leaks' are coming from, such as 2p on income tax. Can't see that myself, the repercussions for business on the island would be massive.

If something like that did happen, with £44m of taxpayer's cash going into the government only pension pot this year, and £60m extra pissed away on a ferry terminal...and numerous other wastes of cash, there would rightly be a major uproar and petitions all round to force several by-elections.

This didn’t age well 🤦‍♂️

Nice 18% increase for Manx Radio this year I see. Must be compensating for the loss of Shoprite advertising

They've got Gawnie on the staff now, he knows how to spend money that's not his...
