Mercenary
Some OK ones but a lot of fluff "What criteria his Department use when assessing the need to remove an existing salt bin; and what consultation takes place with residents prior to any such removal." Surely this sort of low level meddling is one of the reasons why some Departments are so dysfunctional. 5

TheTeapot
The opening question is potentially interesting. Depends whether Mr Moorhouse knows something and is being unusually direct or if its just totally random like normal. Quote Starred Questions 1. The Hon. Member for Arbory, Castletown and Malew, Mr Moorhouse, to ask the Chief Minister – What the arrangements are for enforcing the Ministerial Code; how many alleged breaches have been brought to his attention within the past month; and what he has done about them. Ashford's questions about salt bins and e-scooters are clearly the national issues he left Douglas Council behind for. One could say that DBC might be the better place for this kind of question. Ivy
Fair point. But my point was that politicians seem to be wholly preoccupied with the minutiae of what is happening on a square meter of their constituency pavement rather than the national level politics they're elected to be preoccupied with.
Kopek
Surely anyone who has thought of contacting their representative about a matter in their area............. would contact their MHK rather than the DBC??? So, it's their job to look into the matter and why we elect them???

Was this in relation to Haywood attempting to subvert the windfarm discussion by pretending her son setup a similarly named Facebook group? Very petty behaviour, but is it a breach of code? It really is a shit question, but that the norm from the Moorehouse. The rules are set out in the code of conduct , so he should read them. If something is alleged then it surely can't be asked as it is only alleged. What has been done about alleged breaches, what does he think they do, I guess they look into them ffs. One day Moorehouse might ask a decent question, but I doubt it. When he asked about MDC procurement policy he clearly didn't know what he was talking about. Please whoever giving him these questions, write some decent supplementaries for him ffs. Edited February 17 by Holte End
Moghrey Mie
https://www.gov.im/media/1378023/the-government-code-october-2022-chapter-7-update.pdf I see they still have a minister for Policy and Reform in the seating plan. Moghrey Mie
More delays from the Minimum Wage Committee in assessing the impact of the minimum wage. Employers don't want to pay it do they? It's always the same story with them. But they will have to pay the Living Wage when that comes in. Roll on the day.
