How about just answering the question?

You could have done it in less time than you have replied without answering the question.

When, and how did you report it?

I did a quick check on Google and google states that it's none of your feckin business.

Good answer.

Very useful on a thread you actually started complaing about something not being done, but you  wont actually let us know when you asked for it to be done.

Well done you 🙄

To be fair plenty of people have reported it as I said earlier it’s a known problem

https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/updated-business-case-for-psm-high-street-to-go-to-treasury/

It's worth listening to Crookall's full reply:

https://www.tynwald.org.im/playaudio?file=/business/listen/AgainFiles/O-202401-1177a.mp3

(it's only about two minutes) which gives you not just the delight of him trying to pronounce words of more than one syllable, but the reasons why the previous application was turned down by Treasury, which were:

  • They wanted them to do it out of the existing budget (in which case why apply).
  • The wrong person signed the bit of paper.

These people spend all day trying to find new ways to appear more stupid and petty.

To be fair we were assured by Minister Gawne that the real reason for spending money on resurfacing country roads that had not much wrong with them was that the contractors weren't up to dealing with complicated stuff like drains and so on, so to make sure they got some money we had to give them something easy (that went past the end of his drive).

Now I'm not one to defend Phil Gawne, but the resurfacing of the sloc when he said that silliness stopped before it got to where the turn off to Scard is; and since then they've redone the Ballikilowey road to Lingague and again left the stretch that goes past his. There's about a half mile between the two resurfaced sections that wasn't done, you really feel it in the car when you go that way.

Yes, it was a gem that. "We had to use the money up (£400k) as we were coming to the end of the financial year and we didn't want to have to deal with any road ironwork".

I'll never forget the picture in the paper of the squashed plastic water bottle rolled into the tarmac halfway up the Sloc.

If it’s a pothole or minor road defect and you report it on the app it will be fixed in a couple of days.  Thats a fact.

If it is a major road reconstruction then it obviously takes longer.

The function is there to report issues and have them fixed quickly.  If people for bother the  whose fault is that?

Oddly, DoI staff also use those same roads so they could also report the potholes too?

The roads here are certainly no worse than those in the UK. Hate to burst a few doom bubbles.

I do a lot of miles across and am constantly surprised (though shouldn't be) at the state of the highways in and around major cities but more so out in the country.

The UK like the Isle of Man is economically bust.

PS - a trip to a NW hospital A&E Dept would have many here begging for a kippers tit.

At least the piss-poor surface on the New Castletown Road is getting some attention this week.

The roads that join it are getting a fresh new covering of white paint at the junctions.
