Was reading in the Times, Jersey and Guernsey are having visits by the King and Queen, in July. Guernsey has proclaimed a public holiday on the day of the visit.

Queen consort.

She is the Queen Consort as opposed to the Queen Regnant

Thought the consort bit had been dropped.

However her title is Queen Camilla, not Queen Consort Camilla.

its like Philip, The Prince Consort, but Prince Philip.

Apart from Empress Matilda, Mary, Elizabeth, Mary Ii, Ann, Victoria and Elizabeth II ( who were all Queens Regnant ) we don’t refer to historic Queens Consort as Queen Consort Alexandra, or Mary or Elizabeth

Grovelling bastards.

Yes, but better than here where Douglas Council staff got the week off- for security, obviously- and the rest of us just had to deal with the traffic chaos and the inconvenience.

Exactly. So she's not THE Queen, in the same way Philip was not THE Prince. Whereas Charles is THE King.

It’s you that’s introducing the word THE. King & Queen is correct. King and Queen Consort is incorrect.

What's your question?

It's been released that it was just over 100k the vast majority being spent on officers from across

It's all part of the costs of the visit.
