Casta
How about: Alliance For Progressive Government (APG). If that doesn't work try: Alternative Policy Group (APG). Or was it the other way round? See Brenda for further details. Or closer to home Billy Boy. Edited May 7 by Casta

What is going to be the group activity that they could not do working individually? I suspect the main benefit is to divide up the workload of opposition. Rather than all of them working on every area of policy and departmental responsibility, they can split it up and concentrate on particular areas where they may have some expertise. This is one of the genuine uses of party politics, the ability to provide a more coherent opposition.
Casta
Our system has little/no party politics. Many complain about the CoMin block vote. A formal group of backbenchers can be effective.
Fred the shred
A formal alliance of back benchers is one thing but these three are hardly brand leaders two have been sacked for not being fit for purpose. They are band standing pure and simple every MHK probably agrees with some of their suggestions but are they viable and how can they happen. Pointing out what needs doing is easy actually finding a solution is the difficult bit. Criticizing is easy coming up with a workable answer is the hard bit. To of them have had a chance to run a department and improve it and failed. Not something to put on the CV .To come up with an opposition you need to have a good track record. That's not really true though is it? They were 'sacked' for opposing policy. If you listen to the MR interview CT states he opposed CoMin refusal to progress Housing Board proposals in favour of copying Jersey. And both CT and CC stated they were struggling to understand the financial purpose and benefit of MDC. I think most would side with that thinking. Overall, i think the two/three heads is better than one approach can only be a good thing for the Island.
