I thought the same thing. Is this a consequence of the new law about naming people? I thought it only applied to specific offenses?

Yes the police used to name and shame at either arrest or charge. But that isn’t public information. It’s public when it’s on the published court door list and they’ve appeared. Remember the mess the BBC and police got into with Cliff Richard?

La Colombe
Maybe he's been a force for good? If just one biker thinks "Hang on, there may be a lunatic driving against the one way system around that next corner and who knows, he may even be a sex offender. I'd better slow down to a speed at which I will be able to respond in a safe manner and live to tell the tale", then wouldn't it have been worth it? 1

Or maybe he is one of the great and the good and thought he'd get away with it? I'm sure he'll get his day in court and we'll find out. Not sure why they don't have a camera or two up there , after all nowadays it's not difficult run software to fence an area of an image and determine which way an object goes through it. Still think a one way tyre ripper would be the best solution at preventing them getting further and causing a major accident.

La Colombe
Another local driver has been arrested for driving on a closed road. It's crazy out there. Sometimes it seems like it is impossible to police the TT course. It's just too long I suppose.
