Not sure why it’s bought over TT week.

It isn't brought over. It comes over and is only interested in TT because of the increased footfall.

It's invited over with Govt support, subject to licencing conditions being met and a licence to operate issued.

Where does it mention that it's been invited over by the government or even receives government support

Well, IOMG supported them by issuing a licence. They may have waived any licence fees, perhaps?

There was a row last year because they weren't invited (or offered the opportunity) to come, for whatever reason was in the Govt's head. Eventually there was a u-turn (from memory) due to the outcry.

It's most unlikely that a fair is just going to rock up onto these shores without prior Govt invitation or approval, particularly given the stringency that now exists around marketing and events during the TT period.

what a load of rubbish. The fair owners know there's easy pickings here so just applied for a licence pretty much like the food vendors used to do. The Government don't have to invite.

I doubt the Government really want the fair here and I would be surprised if they encouraged them in any way but to keep the natives happy they have issued the appropriate licences and I bet they charged them plenty ,as well they should, going by the amounts they were charging the outlets behind the grandstand.
