But it probably wouldn’t be managed well and from the sound of things he would be unlikely to respond to such an invite.

No, he would be unlikely to respond.  Some of his replies to people pointing out it was the Manx flag were stupendously arrogant and dismissive, ignoring the facts as presented and persisting that it was still a symbol of fascism.   All removed now.

That's because in today's society admitting you're wrong doesn't seem to be a thing. Either ignore or just double down

I would not invite him over for a cup of tea , ignorant oaf, he has probably been pulled for this by the Editor of his newspaper and feels hard done by.    The Guardian is a rubbish newspaper in fact most of them are The Daily Mail just sinks lower and lower into the gutter.

I wonder if someone of influence here is going to ask him for an apology for disparaging the residents of the IOM and the wider Manx diaspora.
