Lots of the public and businesses use GPS for if someone falls or needs help, tracking vehicles etc. Surely you can’t just disable GPS in an area these days without knock on impacts to normal people? As you quite rightly point out, would be a bit of a potential nightmare if they jammed it all around there. They can also be pretty directional, so you could aim it at a Drone.
