Why is that venue not being used - unless it’s too expensive and COMIS is cheaper? I'm fairly certain the last one in 2018 was held at Mount Murray as well, photos etc seem to hint at it, but I couldn't find anywhere where a venue is mentioned explicitly (no where else is this shy - Jersey and Guernsey happily say which hotel they are using). One oddity. Even though Cannan has only been in office for less than three years, he's the longest serving head of government.

Max Power
I remember Ted Heath or Harold Wilson coming here as PM, everyone knew and they stayed at the Fort Anne Hotel. Minimal security in those days.

x-in-man
Maybe security might want to move the English registered vehicles left with flat tyres and bits missing just off the New Castletown Road - yards from the main road in Santon. One is a rather large white van. I’m sure someone said they heard it ticking ..

Minimal security in those days. Harold Wilson, June 1973. Stayed at The Palace Hotel. Took a horse tram there too, or was planned to but the plane was delayed. Details of the full trip was in the paper including an itinerary of he Island tour. Harold was no longer PM by this time but still a political big hitter. Served for two years before resigning in 1976
