x-in-man
It's a embarrassment. None of them will want to turn up and be pictured with such a clusterfuck.

Are you sure? It's one of their more successful jobs. For one it's actually finished (unlike the prom) and secondly the inevitable problems ( for which we'll have zero comeback on the contractors) haven't been found yet (unlike the NSC). A few tens of millions over budget and a few years late in completion is no cause for negativity, lessons will be learned after all.

Two-lane
It is a pity they have not installed a webcam, so that we could see the band and the bunting and the Chief Minister stepping onto the gangplank and waving to the crowd. Of course, all the ManxForums cynics would be glued to the monitor hoping for a parking incident.
finlo
It'll be interesting to see what mods have been made to Manannan as Brindley likened it to a scaffold tower as it departed earlier.
Two-lane
The Steam Packet documentation shows that the cafe is airside, or in this case seaside, and not accessible to anyone else. It only makes sense to separate inbound and outbound if there is a border to cross. What plans do the Steam Packet have? A service from Liverpool to Dublin? [You stagger off the boat after a horrendous crossing, desperate for a strong cup of coffee, and... not possible]
