The Steam Packet documentation shows that the cafe is airside, or in this case seaside, and not accessible to anyone else.

It only makes sense to separate inbound and outbound if there is a border to cross. What plans do the Steam Packet have? A service from Liverpool to Dublin?

[You stagger off the boat after a horrendous crossing, desperate for a strong cup of coffee, and... not possible]

I'm guessing there's no cafes at all in Liverpool?

The Callister Colonade - has a ring to it - Little Bobby Onchan needs to put his head above the parapet soon @Robcallistermhk

You were saying....?

In the comments he says that Tynwald would never have voted for a cost of £80M. They didn't, they voted for over £100M didn't they (being realistic)? And wouldn't he have been one of the voters?

Surely this begs the question, if our elected, i.e. Tynwald, didn't have the power of executive over the public purse, how did it get approved to 80m and beyond ? If ever a full enquiry was needed in the daylight, this is it. How much impact this has had on the state we are currently in I guess it's difficult to say, but it can't have helped with ever rising taxes, charges and costs !

Wasn't Harmer or Baker names are on the brass plaque, With Mr Quayle and his Time Capsule https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/time-capsule-to-be-buried-at-liverpool-landing-stage/

Apparently it contained some eel grass, a manx coin, a flag so says the press release. ( It also contains a number of shelved reports particularly into the SPCO, David Ashfords point by point rebuttal template, and various dirt from under the edge of the carpets ).

The capsule wasn't big enough to contain dirt from under the middle of the carpets...

the question is will we ever find out the  full cost  , and with what we have seen up to now,  the price of the liverpool shed   could have gone a very long way to solving the islands housing crisis , the £100 million could have provided 400 local authority and first time buyers houses ,  and over the forthcoming years the local authority houses would have paid for themselves  from rental income ,  there seems to be a lack of reality and vision in Tynwald these days

We may find out eventually but given that Ashford is only just now asking questions about the rails from the prom, it gives one an idea of the pace that Govt scrutiny moves at... and Liverpool One and Anfield would have been just too far to walk to....won't somebody think of the shoppers and the fans....?

It is actually quite worrying that the wind farm debacle was described by ( whoever was representing Gov )at the meeting as a "rolling project" and thus costs cannot be quantified ! my post is purely from a financial perspective not a comment on Climate Change or whatever . It does seem to me that is precisely how we've ended up sinking 100 million into the Mersey ! It is a high time someone got a grip !

Yes, both Chris Thomas and Moore house made the same remark.  They said something about being asked to approve funding with no details.  So much for fiscal responsibility!
