This is quite depressing.

If he was on Dragon’s Den pitching figures like that they’d annihilate him.

He’s got to go, surely? How can the party allow this?

They should've been setting up and "marketing" his replacement for months now. What prominent Democrat figures exist and have enough visibility and panache to beat a populist candidate?

Don’t know, but if Biden’s the best they have they’re really screwed.

He's definitely not the "best", but he's the only one anyone even knows about the existence of, other than Harris, who is a disaster. Which is likely why he's been kept around, but the effort would've been better spent pushing a new one.

Astounding, innit? Beginning to feel embarrassed for him. Cringe-inducing gaffe's every time he makes a speech.

Karine Jean-Pierre's attempts to cover for him are almost futile.

And the creepy head-sniffing 👀

He won't be the candidate, but there are other issues in play here. Don't forget he's the current serving president, so if he's deemed at this stage unable to stand in November, then it's effectively an admission that he's unfit to be president now. Which obviously has ramifications. It's all about the timetabling. Trump is going to end up being the doddery old codger in this contest.

It's quite funny watching elements of the American press saying 'Why did nobody tell us he'd got this bad?' when they've spent the last few years covering up for him. They've got themselves in quite the predicament 🤨

Republicans immediately attack on this exact point.
