Maybe a touch rushed in places, but that’s the conductor’s fault - not the kids in the orchestra, who are amazingly talented! eta: …and that was some encore - Swingle Singers left in the dirt! Jarndyce Posted August 29 Share Posted August 29 (edited) Watched the students of the Sibelius Academy (along with the choir and some other orchestral members of the RCM) tackle The Planets the other night, conducted by Sakari Oramo. (Prom no. 46) Once again, completely blown away by the quality and skill of a student orchestra - the soloists in each section are quite exposed and their confidence and ability is amazing.
