Exactly. Totally pointless the new IOM driving licenses don’t even have your address on them.

It isn't pointless because the photo id proves you are that person and the proof of address proves if you live in the appropriate ratepayers area.

Exactly getting rid of a sofa is now going to be as bad as trying to set up an IOM Bank account and I doubt they even have the legal right to check.

Are they collecting your data or just checking that you are who you say you are and where you live?
