wrighty
With news that some of the dancers on Strictly were mean to their celebrity partners, and now that Olympic horse lady Charlotte Dujardin has been mean to horses and/or students, where's the next 'people aren't always very nice' scandal coming from? TheTeapot
That's what everyone thinks, and Kermit takes it. But his passiveness and general world weariness, that's an act. Behind the scenes it's a whole different world. He's a savage. Everyone has to do what they're told. Gonzo struggles with that obviously, he gets regular beatings. And poor Ralph... wrighty
I think the point is that humans aren't very nice, at least the ones that get on in life and ascend to the top of their chosen endeavour. Either that or to get to the top you have to break a few eggs. And not just as a chef.

Everyone's got a video camera and direct access to the world. You don't have to go through some tedious HR process that results in nothing good, you just post it on til tok and make them resign Edited July 23 by TheTeapot

In order to be successful at high performance, high pressure activities, people have to be a bit obsessive, single minded and ruthless. This will highlight the fact that an entire Olympic sport is based on animal cruelty (which was fucking obvious to anyone who actually thought to themselves “how do they get the horses to dance?”) and one of the most highly decorated British Olympians got the medals cos she was really good at abusing animals. One of the best. Hopefully it will end the cruel sham that is dressage.

philwebs
Many humans are not nice: Narcissist vs. Sociopath vs. Psychopath https://lauriehollmanphd.com/2020/05/18/narcissist-vs-sociopath-vs-psychopath-whats-the-difference/ https://www.scarymommy.com/lifestyle/psychopath-vs-sociopath-vs-narcissist https://www.choosingtherapy.com/sociopath-vs-psychopath-vs-narcissist/ Some people crave power, others money, others control over others. Some seek fame. Many who seek such things fall into one of the categories above. They are very destructive people who have no moral compass and no qualms about what they do. They destroy everything around them and leave devastation in their wake. Avoid them (almost impossible).
