Are you big enough to admit that tye riots are because white extremists have bought into the lies told to them? Do you condemn the riots in Southport and Sunderland? Err ... I've been posting on this forum for nearly 20 years ... but you think you need to call me out and ask my response to racist rioters? Goodness me how ideology blinds people. Have you read my contributions to this thread? I condemn the behaviour totally and utterly. The political tendency to other opponents and encourage violence is despicable. Racism has no place in our society, nor has violence. I've been "big enough" to say that multiple times on this forum over the years. There are very very serious social problems in our society which has meant too many people take heed of heinous ideologies. Why have these been empowered over the last 15 years or so is an important political question. Goodness what a sad situation. It's interesting many of us have been posting on these forums for so long we can see how posters views and posting styles have shifted with time. Doesn't bode well.

These people are kicking off because they think amongst other things white British blokes get treated different than foreigners, Starmer not even mentioning the Leeds riots just pours fuel onto their paranoia and makes them believe they are justified in what they're doing. No you're wrong. Starmer was referring to organised right wing groups travelling to arranged destinations to make trouble after being riled up by bad actors. The trouble at Harehills was different. More spontaneous and a reaction to what was perceived as heavy handed social care action. Iirc the Home Secretary strongly condemned it. HeteroErectus
Those pesky right wingers. Millions of them, always such low IQ individuals, always getting their silly small brains in a tiz. So dumb and easily influenced by agitators! Now replace the words "right wingers" with trans/women/blacks/muslims.... No, you won't. Because that's apparently transphobic, misogynistic, racist, islamaphobic See. It's this arrogance in politcal and social commentators that has flourished over decades, while these normal people have kept their heads down, working and providing for their families, mostly apolitical. The way the these people have been talked about stinks of elitism, coming from a bunch of champagne socialists. I've said it before, I'll say it again. Don't be surprised when they no longer care about your words. Edited August 3 by HeteroErectus Pubes.

I'd happily replace it with left wingers though, if you'd like.

It's interesting to note that all the first batch of arrests over the Southport trouble were people from Southport.

Don't be surprised when they no longer care about your words. I agree with a lot of this, while I would also add that there are some really bad people out there right now. England feels more divided now then it has for 50 years, its so sad. Uncontrolled immigration, political Islam and identitarism, and a working class that - as always - is left behind. I don't think a lot of people get how much resentment and bitterness has been caused by the grooming gangs, and the authorities response to them. As one labour mp liked - 'they should shut up for the sake of diversity', ffs. I don't know where we go from here, starmers speech was bloody awful IMHO, fueling the resentment of people already alive to the idea of 2 tier policing and governing. The immigration method in the iom is, socially, so much more effective. If you come over here, you're working, you're contributing, you're helping.

I know my views have probably shifted to being more liberal and left but not significantly so.

Sorry to say my observation is they are over here now on full benefits with housing, being paid for by ION taxpayers. Nothing in the media, nothing said by the policians. Silence. Did you agree to this?

(You could argue that trans is I guess, and muslim, but not really for most). You’ve got to be pretty low iq to think “right wing” and “women” are equivalent groups.

Did you agree to this? The middle of the working day is lunchtime. Perhaps they’ve all left their place of work to go Marksies to get a sandwich or even perhaps a meal deal from the Spar shop ( other food outlets are available)

Did you agree to this? I'm in social housing in Ramsey, and that doesn't ring true for round here. Through work I've met an African guy newly arrived to the island recently, top bloke, working and in a private rental. That's as far as my knowledge goes. P.K.
Dear me but this thread has got very "Daily Mail" and we all know what that means... The UK is in a terrible state, no question. Fourteen years of the worst government in living memory and hopefully forever have left behind a dreadful legacy. I was chatting to an old friend who is convinced that the "no-go" areas in the UK actually exist, that the country is a war zone and that the Muslim population is at least 25% and probably higher. The editors of the Mail, Express, Sun and Telegraph must be well pleased along with Richard Tice and Nigel Farage. According to the last census 46% identified themselves as Christian, the next highest was 37% of no religion and Muslim was third with 6%. I was personally disappointed to find that "Followers of the Jedi" had dropped again to a rump of just 0.8%. Whatever happened to having a sense of humour...? Anyway, I'm sure that those rioting believe that the UK has a muslim population of at least 25% and probably higher and they are responsible for all the ills that currently beset the country...
