2112
Tonight’s news on the NPM leads Onchans Ex Ministers and MHKs demanding that the HoK should be recalled. What’s upset them (and many others) is the bus cancellations fiasco, and the non-sailing of the Manxman, under any bad weather etc. The likelihood of both Julie Edge and Rob Callister actually getting anywhere is non existent, and demanding ‘where is the chief minister’ is a joke - as he was in London, dick waving with a trade minister, and a minister who represents the Crown Dependencies.
Moghrey Mie
The House of Keys never comes back until the harvest is all done and maybe spuds have been picked. It's a tradition. 1
Tinpot
What are MHKs going to do about either of those things. Blatent electioneering, and it’s only going to get worse over the next 24 months.

One return crossing missed, maybe 2? Hardly worth recalling Tynwald for. 1
Utah 01
If you had been booked on one of the many cancellations I would suggest you glib response wouldn't be so glib.

How many were there over the last two weeks? I don't believe it was 'many' considering there's up to 8 crossings a day (6 on days when Manannan only does 1 return).

We are in that time of year when Mannanan is down to 1 rotation per day/7 per week annd Manxman only 2 roatations per day 6 days a week and one on Saturday/13 per week, any way. You got 54 sailings ( 27 rotations ). It’s only 40 ( 20 rotations ). Makes a significant change to percentages if 4 or 6 sailings are cancelled.

"That's it Minister, well done", says Grima Wormtongue, BV manager/civil servant. Edited September 12 by Non-Believer Typo
2112
Yet again coverage of BV and its staff shortages given publicity in the media. ’ Joney Faragher MHK added her two pennerth yesterday about the buses, so there are 3 MHKs jumping up and down. CM Cannan is really going to take any notice of both back bench MHKs, and failed ex Ministers as well. Maybe, if our politicos worked together and coordinated their statement, then maybe CM Cannan would have no choice but to address the issue, with a showing of political dissent and unhappiness. It will always be difficult to get bus drivers now the t&C's are crap. Shift system is crap. Who wants to work evenings and weekends? We moaned that the bus drivers were overpaid, so they got shafted. Now no one wants to be one.
