Dirty Buggane
You mean take it over to maximise government income and proceed to run it into the ground. Whilst throwing wads of cash into some management consortium that has promised it will grow into a multimedia event, and with some wisely placed investment can become a global televised event growing year on year so they can all bask in the limelight of it's success. If we could just have a little more investment over two maybe three years and an underite of the event would be nice.

I thought the original post was suggesting people would be relying on scheduled bus services, which I thought unlikely. No need to be a dick. You can always just explain things more clearly without being rude. 1

The fear is, that if they weren't but have seen that it has been a roaring success then they'll decide that they want a slice of it and any possible revenue and WILL get involved. At that point we all know what happens. 3 hours ago, Alanbellend said: As you say the really worrying thing is that someone in IOM Government (DfE) saw how successful this was as a tourist feature and decides that they have to bask in reflective glory by trying to muscle in and manage parts of the next one. Then it will all inevitably go to crap like absolutely everything else they touch. 1 hour ago, Dirty Buggane said: You mean take it over to maximise government income and proceed to run it into the ground.
