FANDL Posted 2 hours ago Share Posted 2 hours ago We had raised £400M to spend on peoples health and welfare? https://www.gov.im/news/2021/sep/07/treasury-prices-400m-of-sustainable-bonds/ Not raised capital to fund Daphne’s woke bonfire of the vanities where the Isle of Man makes its commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050 and where the four hundred million pounds raised to be paid back over thirty years or more will allegedly support the Island in staying at the forefront of the transition to a lower carbon economy - including the target for transitioning to 75 per cent renewable sources for electricity by 2035. But where within three years we have to raise taxes on the low paid to still fall short of the funding needed to have a sustainable or even acceptable healthcare system.
