Manx Bean
So here again a prime example of where money is being wasted to spend time and allocate resources to something which in even a complete space cadet’s head would seem not really to be important..in other words we have much bigger shit to sort out first.. https://www.manxradio.com/news/isle-of-man-news/treasury-seeks-permission-to-be-able-to-withdraw-1p-2p-and-5p-coins/

If you totted up all the man hours including getting it through the legislative process, its still a good few grand that could be better spent elsewhere. Barlow
All the hassles and man hours from shops, banks, government, population messing about with low denomination coins far outweighs the cost of the legislation. Over the years it will make our society as a whole a lot slicker and efficient. Plus it will bring in the law before UK does, which will give some in governmnet a bit of a hard on.
Two-lane
I have noted that in recent years, many people - including doddering old codgers - pay by waving a smart phone in the direction of a bit of electronics. However, I remain resolutely old fashioned. I use a contactless credit card.
