Police To Investigate

FCMR

Recommended Posts

The death of an elderly visitor during grand prix week is to be investigated by the Police. Its been revealed that Mr Tim O,Connell who was in collision with a road closed rope at the Quarter Bridge may not have been responsible for his own death. Its now come to light that the rope that was spread accross the road did not display any warning flags something a road closing order for the event demands.

I think FCMR must be the only person on the island who hadn't heard about there being no warning flags and the only person who wasn't wondering why there hadn't been a proper investigation about it.

Any chance they'll find that it was because there were no police present to enforce the law?

With respect to the dead and all that....he passed a number of road closed ahead signs, was approaching one of the most recognised parts of the circuit, when the races were on, with crowds gathered to watch, with rope and bollards across the road...if the reason he fell off was because there werent a couple of poxy red dusters hanging off the ropes then maybe he shouldnt have been riding a bike in the first place.

That is why the Police are investigating, its possible that no signs were up, also the Classic bikes were told to start off from the QB at 12-15 that day

the police are investigating only because the red flags weren't on the rope. It was front page news in the independent the week the accident happened.

There is no suggestion the roads closed signs weren't up.
