K.os Theory
OK so not necessairly gaming, but kinda related... I'm sat here in a cafe in HK using an 11MB broadband connection ( pretty quick ), but the other night I was round at a mates place here in Honky using my wireless connection when I picked up on a 54MB connection!!! Just wondering if this is the fastest connection anyone has seen... Laters!
Tearz
Unfortunately K the 54Mb was most likely the connection between you and the network, and not the network out to the rest of the world All the same, I would love an 11mb connection at home!! K.os Theory
ahhh right that would explain it, I thought it was rediculously fast....
RC-Drift.com
satellite is faster, but the time delay is a bind (oxymoron or what)
ans
Only one way though
joeyconcrete
Only one way though I work with a 2-way satellite install from time to time, the Bandwidth is similar to DSL but the latency sucks ass.
matty
You can get pretty good 2 way sat stuff, but the bandwidth does tend to be pretty expensive. The latency does suck - it would make it near impossible for decent gaming, even if you're using sat for voice comms, you typically get around a second delay (which can be a bit wierd to get used to!)
