manxchatterbox Posted November 23, 2005 Share Posted November 23, 2005 Any advance notice that the Mountain Road is going to be closed ahead of the predicted ice and snow thats heading our way on Friday?? -'cos as sure as sure can be there will be some p*****ks who will get stuck/crash? Surely its not impossible to just take the precaution and announce in advance tomorrow that it will be shut as of say 11:00pm on Friday night?? (or an hour or so ahead of whenever the Met boys reckon the white stuff will start). Mind you wasn't there alot of snow found in Santon on Tuesday - more than a single white line!!! I would hope the DOT guys will be going out - be madness not too!! I think the DOT guys get paid extra for doing the extra work, but don't quote me on that.
