This morning he told us that there was a 'huge purple erection' on the beach at Peel - doesn't he realise that the entire female population of Peel will be rushing down to the Promenade to see that? Later, talking to a couple of ladies: "Have you ever seen anything like this on Peel beach before? Did you expect it to be as big as this?" Oh the joys of live radio! manxmedia Posted July 6, 2006 Share Posted July 6, 2006 David Cannon pushing his garden party is NOT news. He gets on the MR bullitins every year with the same old "information". Then all summer other MHK's start getting the same treatment. Last week Geoff Corkish, (minister in waiting), had minutes of air time to talk about the round the Island sailing, how much tickets where, how fantastic it will be etc Again, in my view, this was not news but an item that you might hear in "Talking Heads" or Bob Harrisons show. Energy seem to have a fuller news in the afternoon than Manx, who keep running the same stories throughout the day. A rewrite would at least make it sound less boring.
