nipper
It does look a bit Alienesque from that angle, all those pod things inside waiting to explode in our faces type of thing etc. But it was termed as Pammy's Palace when Pamela Crowe MHK (now of course MLC) was the DoLGE dude and she was defending the incinerator like her job depended on it. Which it did. But she won the day. And she wa' well rewarded yessir, with an emelseeship no less. Them kinda lasses you just gotta parachute well and truly to safety. Right next to you in the house too, 'cos she'll defend black is white for ya to the death. One glare from her and yer done for boy.

Mission
Actually, upon looking at it again, I'd like to change my name for it from Armadillo to Transformer It just has that look about it that all of a sudden, it's going to leap up and change into something else - like a spaceship or an aeroplane or something... Gladys
I guess you mean Rhode island? Spelling aint a strong point of mine but i think i seen it spelt that way in the paper. so it must be right! There are signs up there and it is "Road Island". As for the incinerator, from the photo it looks like the vacuum cleaner from Teletubbies.

Lonan3
I thought most 'landmark buildings' were eventually nicknamed 'accidental fires.'
nipper
Great story. Walter Gilbey was in charge when the incinerator was built. but El nipper actually said : . . . . Pamela Crowe MHK (now of course MLC) was the DoLGE dude and she was defending the incinerator like her job depended on it. Which she damn well did. By sarahc's own admission, her post was wrong, Sh1te in fact...and she tries to throw it back at the nipper lad. Summat wrong here shurely. So the aye's are on you our lass . . . . regards, nip
silverback
After a quick second look at the incinerator smokestack, I wonder if perhape Zeta Creations was involved in the design.
