nipper
Electricity. We will realise all the HUNDREDs of ££££££MILLION we have WASTED on the new power station etc. . . . and should not have been so bloody minded and just bought electricity from the UK. Via that cable thingy that was laid. So, 101 uses for a big wavy looking building with a big glass front. And a shimmering chimney?

Gladys
My top ten predictions are:- 1. It will rain. 2. It will rain again. 3. It will be windy. 4. The MEA debacle will be covered in a quagmire of obfuscation, but we will still have the prettiest power station in the world! 5. Someone will question the wisdom of the Iris scheme in light of the number of seagulls dying from malunutrition (best comment ever was "look at the turds and whey in Douglas bay", we could make a nursery rhyme about that ! ). 6. Someone, somewhere will understand that we do not have a tourist trade anymore and to try to create one is a pointless waste of money; far better to create an interest in the IOM for other reasons and meet that market. 7. Smoking will be banished from all public venues. 8. A decent eaterie will open in the Villa to make it a "world class" venue. 9. The Tower of Refuge will crumble into the sea. 10.And I shall still be very glad to be here. Oh!, by the way, it will probably rain and be windy! Perhaps we should open a 'book' on which MHKs will be returned/ousted (or possibly 'outed') in 2006?
Charles Flynn
A Manx Forums Poll? At least it will give an idea what the members think. But will anyone else on the Island take any notice?
