thebees
It comes as no surprise. Margret O'really is crap at her job! Why do they still sell White Lightening Cider in shops? Who drinks it? the youths and alchomaholics.....is it really worth the 20p profit to the shop? Ban the sale of cheap nasty booze, no one with any standards drinks it. All the fancy conferences in the world aren't going to stop people drinking or using drugs, so wouldn't it be better for her to stop wasting tax payers money going to 'meetings', get pro-active and do some work for the salary she fleeces each year? sarahc
It might help if the Drug and Alcohol team worked past 4.30 on a Friday.
Alex
We're all living too long anyway, perhaps drugs and alcohol are natures way of killing us off?
TheTool
Alex thats probalby it I think the government needs to realise that a lack of things to do for the islands population is one of the biggest reasons why there is such a problem. BigDave
It might help if the Drug and Alcohol team worked past 4.30 on a Friday. ...instead of knocking off early to go to the pub?
weasel
It also might help if the drug and alcohol team actually saw people with an alcohol problem, instead of insisting that they stop drinking before they will see them.

I aggree with Mr Tool... There is very little to do of an evening on this Island... Why? Cos everything is being shut down, demolished and turned into residential and commercial property. Shops shut at 5:30, swimming pool closes at 7, the superbowl costs £20 a lane and only gives you an hours worth of entertainment, a ticket to a typical night at the villa costs £25 to see somebody you've never heard of before (and still wish you hadn't by the end)... so what else? It really only leaves the cinema or a bottle of cider in the local park doesn't it.
