feelslikeitshould
The age/size restriction seems a bit strange. I cannot understand why you have to be a certain height OR over 12. Surely if you are an adult who is under that height then you should use a booster seat because the whole point is to raise the person up to the correct height for the seatbelt. There aren't many adults under 4'4"....even if there are, they probably do sit on a cushion, when they driving at least! It's about child safety, there are probably a few kids over 12 who are less than 4'4" and a lot under 12 who are over. I know I was at that age I was nearly, if not, 5ft and I would think looking at most small family cars that sitting on a booster seat at that height would probably do more harm than good. doodlebug
I thought the height restriction was 4'10" or 11".
feelslikeitshould
I thought the height restriction was 4'10" or 11". According to Ripsaws bit on Manx parents it's 135cm, which is a little over 4'4". Probably the height of an average 10/11 year-old. I feel sorry for the short kids, it's all right when they all need them but as soon as the majority have grown out of them, the little ones be picked on for still needing a booster Can you imagine being in year 6 and needing a car seat when some of the year 4s don't! Disaster! Oh it sucks being a kid, best days of your life my arse!
